Here’s a little mix of Screaming Soul tunes that was knocked up by our very own Lucid Mover and DJ Moodie of Reggae Roast.
It has remixes by Mutant HiFi, Adrian Sherwood, Ruckspin & Planas, JJ Mumbles, Key Skills, Bill Daggs and Boone Kamf. It also features appearances form some of UK Hip-Hop’s finest MCs: Stig of The Dump, DefDFires, Skrein, Prem C, Thre and Gringo.
All the tracks used in this podcast are available on this blog- you just have to explore to find them 😉

A few months ago we uploaded a selection of acapellas from previous projects and little by little the remixes came trickling in. This is a selection of our favourites so far, it’s interesting to see which were the most popular tracks! Go to our Soundcloud page to get hold of the acapellas yourself and have a crack at remixing your own Screaming Soul track.
Rise feat. Gringo
Rise (Sledgehammer Riddim) feat. Gringo (Original Mix – Taken from ‘Code of The Road Runner’)

Screaming Soul – Weapon of Choice (Original Mix – Taken from ‘Code of The Road Runner’)
There’s even a video to this one…
But our favourite of all has to be Mutant HiFi’s remix- that’s why we put it on our next album!
Finally we have a selection from our good friend Wyt-Fang! Make sure you check out Wyt-Fang’s Soundcloud page, that guy is an absolute monster on the beats and watch this space for more Wyt-Fang/Screaming Soul remixes dropping soon!
Screaming Soul Acapellas
The wonderful people at our label Emerging Species have compiled a selection of their favourite tracks from the label catalogue. This compilation features two as yet unheard tracks from our forthcoming second album ‘Ghost Inna Dub‘ due for release in Feb 2012. These tracks are ‘Ball Point Bayonet‘ (Mutant HiFi‘s dancehall destroying dub of ‘Weapon of Choice‘ which came out originally on ‘Code of The Road Runner’ in 2009) and ‘Bear Nang’ an instrumental riddim produced by Lucid Mover, Colombo Majik and Gringo.
Ghetto Priest & Lucid Mover tear up Brixton Jamm with fire and brimstone! WARFARE!!!

‘Modern Warfare’ is the second release this year from Screaming Soul, a collaboration between Lucid Mover and Ghetto Priest. ‘Modern Warfare’ is essentially a fully reloaded revamped re-release of our first demo ‘Warfare’, which featured on our debut album and was remixed by Ruckspin & Planas for Ranking Records in 2008.
‘Operation: Zombie Nation’ producer Key Skills‘ contribution is a dance floor destroyer while DefDFires‘ Bill Daggs, whose completely updated version of the track bears the EP title, features verses from Daggs himself, Uncle Jazza (DDF) and Sandman drops a Lucid ‘remixed’ verse, all the patterns are the same but the words are different.
The EP also features two bonus tracks from Wot Not Music‘s JJ Mumbles who has remixed two other tracks from our debut album ‘Ghost in a Shell’: the glitchy minimalist thump of ‘Wool Ova Dem Eyes’ and the eerily atmospheric ‘Rusty Cage’. Mumbles has a beautifully unorthodox style of production that seems to know no limits- watch out for that guy, big tings a gwan.
